How early should I book?

We strongly recommend booking your session 3-6 months in advance.  The busiest time for portrait sessions is during the months of August to October as families prepare for the holidays.  It is important to book as early as possible so you get the date you want.  We photograph family & kids sessions on weekdays.  To secure a date, a $300 non-refundable retainer is required.  Balance is due one week before your session.

What to wear?

We want you to dress in a way that reflects your personal style!  If you are a casual family, then find something that's casual but nice.  Find pieces that show off your personalities.  Don't be too overdressed as family photos are supposed to be fun and relaxed.  If you need help, feel free to contact me!  We are always happy to help out with your wardrobe selection.

Who can be in the session?

Most of the time, the session focuses mainly on the kids.  However, it is common that parents want to join in on the fun as well, as they should!  Sometimes even grandparents join in the moment too!  We usually start the session by photographing everyone in the group and then we follow immediately by taking time focusing on each child.
